Reason #1 For Filming Your Wedding
“Well, we just don’t think we’d go back and watch it enough to make the money worth it.”
Got it.
My wife told me a story about an experience she had at work with a patient one time. She’s a respiratory therapist, and as most of you know… working the healthcare has it’s ups and downs. Definitely it’s downs.
She was taking care of a patient one day, who unfortunately was in his final days.
As she was taking care of him and going through his treatments, he asked her for a small favor.
He asked her to take a DVD from his hand, and put it in the DVD player attached to the TV in his hospital room.
Obviously, she obliged and when the TV booted up the scene of a ceremony showed.
Within minutes, tears started falling from the man’s face. A mix of relief… and regret.
Once it was finished, he told my wife “I haven’t played that video in what must have been 3 or 4 decades. Last I watched it… was when my wife was still alive. We were so young in that video. Thank you miss.”
It made me realize as a wedding professional. We might not watch our video or look at our photos every anniversary. Or even every few years.
But when we do watch it…
