Reason #2 For Filming Your Wedding Day

In 2020, we had a couple who chose Buttoned Up to film the biggest day of their lives. It was absolutely beautiful.

They had all their friends and family travel in from out of town to celebrate with the on their once in a lifetime day. Such a surreal moment, that today was the only day all these same people would be under one roof after months and months of hard work planning their wedding.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The ceremony, the first dances with mom and dad.

It was flawless.

6 months had passed, and the bliss of married life had vanished. Married life had gotten very very real.

The groom’s had lost his mother due to cancer.

It sent a shockwave throughout not just the entire family, but our whole team. On the wedding day, we had the opportunity to get to know his mother and she was such a wonderful woman.

Thankfully, the couple had chosen to film their wedding and all the little moments in between.

We captured:

  • The groom’s mother helping the bride into her dress.

  • The groom’s mother hugging and mingle with the bride’s family.

  • Being present during the ceremony.

  • As well as, the first dance with the groom and his mother.

Photos are amazing, but we had the chance to help this couple in remembering her as she was. Happy. Lively. Full of joy. On the biggest day of their lives.

They got to watch her in real-time, and not just trapped in a single moment in time through a photo.

We hope and pray that for the rest of their days, they remember her on the happiest day of their lives.
